IIDC was entrusted with the architectural transformation of a legacy hospital building, originally planned under older regulatory and NBC norms, into a future-ready, code-compliant oncology facility. The challenge lay in achieving full alignment with the latest healthcare standards while retaining the building’s structural integrity and minimizing intrusive modifications. Our approach balanced regulatory rigour with design pragmatism—ensuring a safe, efficient, and human-centric healing environment.
Conceived by Dr. Ramesh Gupta—an accomplished physician leader and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in the U.S.—the hospital embodies his vision to bring global best practices in cancer care to India. Backed by his enterprise VIPP, which operates a network of advanced cardiovascular and diagnostic facilities in the U.S., this project marks his commitment to accessible, world-class oncology services in the heart of Dwarka.
The facility is right-sized to need, with interiors designed to be warm, transparent, and low-maintenance—supporting operational efficiency without compromising the emotional comfort of patients, caregivers, and staff.
